About Us

We are a Canadian digital marketing agency focused on organic growth for service businesses. The role blends SEO content production, WordPress implementation, technical SEO, and AEO. Marketing experience is nice to have, not the core of the job.

Role Focus

Own end-to-end SEO execution. Plan topics, produce publish-ready articles, implement in WordPress with correct structure, add and validate schema, improve on-page and technical factors, and track results in GA4 and GSC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build monthly SEO content plans tied to search intent and business goals
  • Draft, edit, and publish SEO articles and service pages in WordPress
  • Implement on-page best practices for titles, metas, headings, internal links, and anchors
  • Add JSON-LD schema for Articles, Services, LocalBusiness, FAQ, and Breadcrumbs, then validate
  • Handle light technical SEO: indexation checks, canonicals, noindex rules, sitemap updates, basic redirects, Core Web Vitals coordination
  • Support AEO by covering entities, FAQs, and answer patterns used by AI search products
  • Manage Google Business Profile basics: services, posts, hours, photos as needed
  • Track performance with GA4 and GSC, produce concise reports, and recommend next actions
  • Coordinate with a developer when deeper fixes are required
  • Maintain task hygiene in the tracker and follow SOPs

Required Skills and Experience

  •  Strong SEO background across content, on-page, and fundamentals of technical SEO
  • WordPress proficiency, including templates, custom fields, shortcodes, and basic theme edits
  • Hands-on schema markup experience using JSON-LD and validation tools
  • Working knowledge of GA4, GSC, and keyword research tools
  • Basic HTML and CSS for layout and formatting fixes
  • Clear written English and detail orientation
  • Comfortable working Edmonton business hours and collaborating in a remote team

Nice To Have

  • GoHighLevel or similar CRM familiarity
  • Experience with automotive, industrial, or home services niches

Work Schedule

  •  Full-time remote contract
  • Available during Edmonton business hours
  • Daily check-ins and reliable responsiveness

Compensation

• Monthly retainer or hourly based on experience and output quality
 • Contractors handle their own local taxes and statutory obligations

Exclusivity & Availability

This role is exclusive to K+E Marketing & Consulting and its affiliated brands. The successful contractor must remain focused on our projects during assigned working hours and maintain consistent availability.

Occasionally, urgent deadlines may require early mornings or limited weekend work. These instances are infrequent but expected as part of a professional agency environment.

Data Security, NDA & IP

All contractors must:

  • Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Adhere to strict client confidentiality and data protection policies
  • Agree that all work produced is “work-for-hire” and becomes the sole property of K+E Marketing & Consulting and its clients
  • Use secure passwords, two-factor authentication, and approved access tools

Time Tracking & Accountability

  • Daily task tracking is required inside our project management system
  • Weekly performance reviews and productivity reporting
  • Clear KPIs tied to:
    • Content output
    • SEO execution
  • Task completion accuracy
